About Joe Clements

Mindfulness Coach and Facilitator | Creator of Sit. Feel. Heal. Experience

Hi, I’m Joe.

I teach mindfulness not just as a meditation practice, but as a way of living, leading, and meeting life—especially when it's hard.

My work is grounded in the belief that presence, emotional awareness, and compassionate action can radically change how we move through the world. Whether I’m working with corporate teams, recovery communities, or individuals seeking greater balance, the goal is the same: to create practical, accessible ways for people to reconnect with themselves and their lives.

What Informs My Approach

I come to this work honestly.

My early years were spent chasing dreams and chaos as a touring musician in the 1990s punk scene. Along the way, I found meditation—and, eventually, myself. After navigating the ups and downs of addiction, relapse, and recovery, mindfulness became not just a practice but a life raft.

Over the past 15 years, I've dedicated myself to making mindfulness approachable for real people with real lives—especially those who don't see themselves reflected in traditional wellness spaces.

I integrate trauma-informed mindfulness, harm reduction principles, relapse resiliency, and emotional intelligence tools into everything I teach. I believe in sobriety and self-discovery—but more importantly, I believe in learning to trust our own innate wisdom.

Sit. Feel. Heal.™

Sit. Feel. Heal. is the heart of my work.
It’s a simple yet powerful framework that helps people:

  • Sit: Build presence and nervous system regulation.

  • Feel: Cultivate emotional awareness and resilience.

  • Heal: Integrate growth into daily life with compassion and courage.

Whether you're a leader navigating burnout, a person in recovery building a new foundation, or simply someone looking to deepen your connection to yourself—this work meets you where you are.

MY Recovery Story

What brought me to my work today

I was first introduced to mindfulness in the mid-1990s through close friends who helped start Dharma Punx and Against the Stream Meditation Society. While they leaned into healing, I kept chasing bigger dreams—touring the country in a punk band and chasing the highs that came with it. As the music faded, so did the illusion of escape. Relapse crept in. But through it all, there was always a thread pulling me toward something deeper: a desire to heal, and to help others do the same.
