MINDFULNESS-BASED
RECOVERY

For drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers,
detention programs and schools.

Mindfulness Meditation and Emotional Awareness Class’

I teach mindfulness meditation and emotional awareness techniques that have been proven to bring peace and ease in the recovery process and can be used as foundational tools to all aspects of the healing and recovery process.

The heart of my work is to provide adults and at-risk youth in the most difficult environments – drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, probation detention facilities, and jails. Using concrete tools to reduce stress, impulsivity, and violent behavior (top causes of relapse)  and increase self-esteem, self-regulation,  overall well-being and relapse prevention/resiliency.

Drawing on the practices of a variety of contemplative traditions, as well as the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction protocol developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, the

Emotional Intelligence work of Dr. Daniel Goleman and Refuge Recovery created By Noah Levine.

My groups synthesizes best practices in meditation, group-process modalities, counseling, mentoring, and social and emotional learning models.

While the medical benefits of mindfulness meditation are well documented, our program is one of the first to bring this cost-effective, in depth and personal rehabilitation service into a rehabilitation setting.

Customized for an addiction recovery population and delivered by our extremely dynamic instructors in a language and framework relevant to their lives, My programs are successfully helping addicts and alcoholics to develop empathy, gain impulse control, and equipping them with the tools they need to live meaningful drug and alcohol free lives.
